Grow the greatest weight of potatoes in your tub & be crowned
"Champion Grower"
£5 entry per tub - proceeds to raise funds for the Flower Show.
You will receive a numbered tub, a potato and 4 months to grow the best crop you can
Collect your tub and tattie on the village green on Sunday 15th March 10.00 -12.00.
Instructions and rules will be given out when you collect your tub - also see below.
Judging on the Village Green in August - date to be confirmed.
Winner announced at the Flower Show prizegiving on Sunday August 23rd. Winner receives the Golden Potato trophy!

Instructions & Rules

Pay your entry fee, collect your tub and your tattie on Sunday 15th March at Gifford Village Green

Use the potato & the tub provided to grow your crop, choosing any growing medium you like. You have over 4 months of growing time.

Bring your tub back to the village green for judging in August. Bring the whole tub with compost and crop intact - your potatoes must still be growing in your tub!

The tub will be emptied and the tatties bagged and weighed.

Take your tatties home for tea! You can take youir compost away too if you wish.
