Gardening Scotland, Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd June This three-day event is Scotland’s celebration of everything to do with gardening, from design ideas and inspiration to tools and accessories and of course numerous wonderful plant displays from top nurseries. Elspeth has worked for nearly 30 years in the Alpine Department. She will tell us about her work with these plants, as well as about the history of the Botanics, the buildings and the surrounding area.
The GHS were pleased to donate £500 to support the newly formed Gifford Lunch Club. This was set up recently by Jane Steven to combat loneliness and encourage older people in the area to socialise together. The Club hopes to organise some entertainment, outings and inform their members of local events and how to source support.
