And the winner's were...

It was smiles all round this afternoon, despite the rain, as Worzel Gummidge handed out the prizes.

The results from the Scarecrow competition were

Best in Show

1st No. 13 Dressed for the Scottish Weather; four seasons in one day

2nd No. 1 Hector

3rd No. 6 Scottish Staycation

There were commendations from the judges too for Keep Dancing, Mary Queen of Scarecrows, Goblin Ha' Ha Ha, The Green Man of Gifford, the Gifford Chainsaw Massacre and The Crash (2 Old Mill Lane).

People's Choice

1st No. 19 Mr McGregor and Peter Rabbit

2nd no. 28 Mary Queen of Scarecrows

3rd No. 13 Dressed for the Scottish Weather; four seasons in one day.

In the Window Box competition, the prizes went to

1st 12 Station Road

2nd Hoggs Newsagents

3rd 18 Old Mill Lane.
